RAM Gasket Solutions Commits to SC21
RAM Gasket Solutions is proud to be a member of CADI (Cornwall Aerospace Defence Initiative), a cluster group of aerospace supply chain companies in Cornwall. Under the auspices of CADI, and as part of its commitment to continuous improvement and aerospace quality standards, RAM has become a signatory to the SBAC SC21 scheme (Supply Chain for the 21st Century). To sustain its commitment to producing aerospace quality gaskets and seals RAM has undergone an assessment by representatives from BAE Systems, SWMAS (South West Manufacturing Advisory Service), and WEAF (West of England Aerospace Forum). The SC21 programme aims to streamline the supply chains that make up the defence and aerospace industries, in order to make them more efficient and competitive.

RAM is Awarded the Environmental Management System Standard ISO 14001.
As part of our commitment to environmental manufacturing, RAM has been accredited by the BSI with the environmental management system standard ISO 14001. RAM achieved this result with the help of environmental consultants Envision. One of the most striking consequences of this system is that approximately one hundred tons a year of waste material, that was originally destined for landfill, is now recycled. In practice, the implementation of a better environmental management system is proving not only better for the environment but also commercially.

RAM Celebrates New Growth
As a result of previous investment, RAM is proud to commit to a new stage of development and growth. This investment has included new machinery and members of staff. In regards to the latter, RAM is pleased to be taking part in the Unlocking Cornish Potential programme. A scheme designed to enable local graduates to utilise their existing skills in trade and industry, and to develop new ones. This commitment will, it is hoped, continue to increase sales in both the home and export markets.

As a custom gasket manufacturer producing parts to our customer’s specifications we provide a technical service; our products are our customers own. The industries that use our service include: electrical, manufacturing, nuclear, oil, gas, aerospace and defence. We produce everything from standard pipe gaskets to parts with specialist applications. All of our customers rely on us for technical know-how, and speed and reliability of service. This diversity of customers is testament to the expertise in materials and application that RAM provides.
