Pharmaceutical Grade Gasket Materials

Pharmaceutical Grade Gasket Materials: High quality nitrile, neoprene, and silicone are all available for use in the pharmacuitcal industry.

These rubbers tend to be white in colour, as opposed to their industrial variants which are black. Although pharmacuitcal grades share many of their properties with their industrial counterparts, they are not identical.

Asbestos free jointing and PTFE can also be used in the pharmacuitcal industry. Care must be taken that the gasket material chosen is not only suitable for the product being processed, but is also capable of withstanding any chemicals and/ or heating the process involves.

Please check your specification carefully, and if in doubt contact RAM for advice. Failure to do so could result in anything from mechanical breakdown to contamination of product.
